Refund & Cancellation Policy — Al-Nahda Trust

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Al-Nahda Trust — Donations, cancellations and refund guidelines

Effective Date: 27-10-2025. This policy explains our approach to donation cancellations and refunds. We aim for transparency and quick resolution while following legal and payment gateway constraints.

1. General Policy Statement

Donations made to Al-Nahda Trust are primarily intended to support charitable programs and are usually non-refundable. We treat donor funds with care and allocate them to the stated causes or projects.

Refunds are considered only in limited circumstances, such as duplicate payments, technical processing errors, or demonstrated mistakes in the donation amount.

2. When Refunds Are Possible

We will consider a refund if: (a) a donor made an accidental duplicate donation, (b) a payment gateway error occurred, or (c) a demonstrable mistake was made during donation processing.

To request a refund, donors must contact us within 30 days of the donation date and provide proof (transaction id, screenshot, donor details).

3. When Refunds Are Not Available

Refunds will generally not be issued for donations that have already been allocated to program expenses or disbursed to beneficiaries.

One-time charitable donations made intentionally (not duplicates or errors) are non-refundable, except as stated above or as required by applicable law.

4. Recurring Donations & Cancellations

For recurring monthly or periodic donations, donors can cancel future payments at any time by contacting the payment provider or by emailing us. Cancellation prevents future charges but does not automatically refund past processed donations.

We will assist in stopping recurring transfers as quickly as possible once a valid cancellation request is received.

5. Payment Gateway & Bank Processing

All payments are processed securely by third-party payment gateways and banks. Refund timelines depend on these providers and may take 7–14 business days or longer to reflect in donor accounts.

Any bank fees or transaction charges deducted by payment processors may not be refundable; the refunded amount may be net of such fees.

6. How to Request a Refund or Cancel a Donation

Please follow these steps to request a refund or cancel a recurring donation:

  1. Email us at alnahda.trust786@gmail.com with subject: Refund Request.
  2. Provide donor name, email, transaction ID / order ID, donation date, and reason for refund.
  3. Attach proof of payment or screenshots if available — this will speed up verification.

We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and inform you of the next steps.

7. Chargebacks & Disputes

If a donor files a chargeback with their bank or card issuer, we will review the dispute and cooperate with the payment provider to resolve the case. Repeated chargebacks without valid reason may lead to donor account review.

8. Special Circumstances

In exceptional situations (natural disaster, legal requirement, or fraud detection), we may suspend refunds or apply special handling. We will communicate any such policy exceptions to impacted donors directly.

9. Policy Changes

Al-Nahda Trust may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of our donation services signifies acceptance of updated terms.
